Most design systems aren't agent-ready, and you won't know until an agent ships something that looks right and is wrong. The Agent-Readiness Audit tells you, in two weeks, whether AI agents can safely build from your design system, and exactly what to fix first.
What it is
A fixed-scope, two-week diagnostic. We benchmark your component library against what AI agents actually need to build accurately, then hand you a scored report and a prioritized remediation roadmap. You leave knowing your risk, your gaps, and your next move.
What we assess
- Metadata coverage: does each component carry machine-readable purpose, variants, props, and tokens, or must an agent guess?
- Anti-pattern capture: are the never-do-this rules written down, including the ones specific to your team?
- Relationship modeling: does the system tell an agent where a component belongs and what it cannot sit next to?
- Token semantics: are tokens named for intent (emphasis, subtle) with descriptions, or positionally (primary, blue-2)?
- Figma variable hygiene: are variables intent-based and described, ready for MCP to expose cleanly?
- Design-to-code fidelity: is Code Connect set up, and do Figma props align with code components?
- Drift evidence: where has the codebase already diverged from the system, a leading indicator of agent risk?
What you get
- An Agent-Readiness Scorecard, graded across all seven dimensions, per component and overall
- A prioritized remediation roadmap with effort sizing
- Annotated examples of real agent failures your current system would allow
- One fully reworked reference component as the pattern for the rest
- A 30-minute executive readout
How it works
Kickoff and access on day one: Figma, repo, Storybook, and a short interview to capture team-specific rules. Assessment across days two to six: we run your library against the scorecard and inspect real agent output. Reference build across days seven to nine: we rework one component end to end as proof and template. Report and readout across days ten to twelve: scorecard, roadmap, and executive walkthrough.
Where it leads
The audit is the front door. From here, teams move into Remediation, where we make the system agent-ready, and Enablement, where we install a reusable component skill so your team builds agent-ready components in minutes.
