Terms of use
Last Updated September 30, 2026
Effective since March 2014. Last updated September 30, 2026.
These terms of use set out how you can use aerointeractive.com (the "site"), including its free tools and the Field Notes newsletter. By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. How we handle personal information is explained in our privacy policy.
1. Who are we?
The site is run by Aero Interactive, LLC, an Indiana limited liability company. We are an AI product design and agentic web studio founded in 2014. Our office is at 880 Monon Grn Blvd Ste 101, Carmel, IN 46032, USA, and we work with clients in the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia.
In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Aero Interactive, and "you" means anyone who visits or uses the site. If you use the site on behalf of a company, you accept these terms for that company as well, and you confirm you have authority to do so.
2. What do these terms cover?
These terms cover the site and everything on it: our pages, Field Notes articles, case studies, the contact form, the Field Notes newsletter signup, the agent-readiness audit one-pager, the readiness estimate and the links for booking a call with us.
Paid work is different. When you hire us, a separate signed agreement, such as a master services agreement or a statement of work, governs that work. If that agreement and these terms ever say different things, the signed agreement wins.
3. How can you use the site?
You are welcome to browse the site, read and share our content, and use the free tools for yourself or your business. In return, we ask that you:
- Use the site lawfully and in line with these terms.
- Leave its security alone: no probing, scanning or testing for weaknesses, no attempts to get around access controls, and no use of non-public areas such as /api/ other than through the forms as they are designed.
- Keep automated traffic at a rate and volume that leaves the site fast for everyone else.
- Send only genuine information through our forms: no spam, no automated submissions, no malicious code, and no one else's details without their permission.
- Represent yourself honestly, and never suggest that we endorse you, your product or your content unless we have agreed to it in writing.
- Keep copyright notices and attributions on our content intact.
4. Can search engines and AI agents read the site?
Yes. We publish the site to be read by people and by software. Search engines, AI search tools and AI assistants are welcome to crawl, index and cite our public pages, following our robots.txt and llms.txt files.
Our robots.txt currently allows AI crawlers to read our public pages, including crawlers that collect content to train AI models. We may change robots.txt at any time, and the version live when a crawler visits is the one that applies.
Whatever the crawler or agent, we ask that it:
- Follows robots.txt, including the paths it closes (currently /api/ and the print version of the audit one-pager).
- Identifies itself honestly in its user agent.
- Keeps its request rate low enough that the site stays fast for visitors.
- Reads pages only, and never submits our forms.
When you or your tool quote or summarize our content, please credit Aero Interactive and link to the page it came from wherever you can.
5. Is anything on the site professional advice?
Our Field Notes articles, case studies and other pages share general information and our own opinions, current as of the date they were published. They are a starting point for your thinking, not professional, legal, security, financial or technical advice for your situation.
Case studies describe results from specific engagements, with specific teams and conditions. They show what is possible and are not a promise that you will get the same result.
6. How do the audit one-pager and readiness estimate work?
The site offers two free tools about our agent-readiness audit:
- The audit one-pager is a PDF that describes the paid audit in general terms. When you enter your email address, we email it to you, whether or not you also choose to receive Field Notes.
- The readiness estimate asks five multiple-choice questions and gives back an estimate of how ready your product is for AI to build in. If you arrived from the one-pager form, we also email you your result.
The readiness estimate is based only on your own answers. It is a quick, self-reported estimate, not an audit, assessment or certification of your product, code or design system, and it never reviews your code. Neither tool is professional advice, a quote or a promise of any result, so please treat them as general information and make your own decisions.
A full audit, with findings based on a review of your code, is paid work under a separate signed agreement. The free tools may change, improve or be retired at any time. What we collect through them, and why, is covered in our privacy policy.
7. Who owns the content on the site?
We or our licensors own the content on the site, including its text, articles, frameworks, graphics, design, code, the audit one-pager, and the Aero Interactive name and logo. Copyright, trademark and other laws protect them.
You may read, download and print pages and the audit one-pager for your own use, share links to any page, and quote short excerpts as long as you credit Aero Interactive and link to the source. For anything more, such as republishing a full article, using our content in a product or course you sell, or presenting our frameworks as your own, please ask us first at hello@aerointeractive.com.
Client names, logos and case-study details belong to their owners. Logos of tools and platforms, such as Figma, belong to their owners and appear only to name the tools we work with. Showing a client or tool name means we have worked with them or their product. It does not mean they endorse us, and it gives no one a license to use their marks.
If you believe something on the site uses your work or your mark without permission, email us at hello@aerointeractive.com with the details, and we will review it promptly.
8. What happens to what you send us?
When you send us a message through the contact form, by email or any other way, please make sure it is accurate and that you have the right to share it. We handle any personal information in it as our privacy policy describes.
Please keep confidential information out of the contact form. Unless we have signed a nondisclosure agreement (NDA) or other written agreement that covers it, we cannot treat unsolicited ideas, proposals or materials as confidential, and we may already be working on something similar.
If you share feedback or suggestions about the site or our work, you give us a free, worldwide and permanent permission to use them to improve what we do, without owing you anything for it. You keep ownership of your own material.
9. How does the Field Notes newsletter work?
Field Notes is our email newsletter about the agentic web. You get it only if you sign up, either on the site or by ticking the Field Notes box on the audit one-pager form. Every issue has a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can leave at any time.
Field Notes shares general information and opinion, in the same spirit as our articles. We may change how often it goes out, or stop sending it. Emails you ask for, such as the one-pager or your readiness estimate result, are sent whether or not you subscribe.
10. What about links and services from other companies?
The site links to websites and services that other companies run, such as Calendly, which we use for booking calls, our social media profiles, and sources we cite in our articles. Their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them, and we are not responsible for their content, availability or practices.
Booking a call through Calendly schedules a conversation. It does not by itself create an engagement or any obligation for either of us.
11. How is the site provided?
We work to keep the site accurate, secure and available. Even so, we provide the site, its content and its free tools "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy or uninterrupted availability.
Content can go out of date, and we may change, update or remove anything on the site, including the free tools, at any time. Section 14 explains how these limits work for consumers outside the United States.
12. How is our liability limited?
To the fullest extent the law allows:
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the site, its content or its free tools.
- Our total liability for any claim relating to the site, its content or its free tools is limited as far as the law allows.
These limits apply to the site and its free tools only. Liability for paid work is set by the signed agreement for that work. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, such as liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
13. When would you cover our costs?
If a third party brings a claim against us because you misused the site or broke these terms, you agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs from that claim, including reasonable legal fees, to the extent the law allows. This does not apply to consumers where local law does not permit it.
14. What if you visit from the UK, EU or Australia?
The site is written for businesses, and we welcome visitors from everywhere. If you are a consumer in the United Kingdom, the European Union, Australia or another place with mandatory consumer protections, you keep every right those laws give you, such as rights under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 or the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms removes or limits a right that the law says cannot be removed or limited.
Where those laws apply, the sections on how the site is provided, our liability and covering our costs apply only as far as those laws allow, and you may also bring a claim in the courts where you live.
15. Which law applies, and where are disputes heard?
The laws of the State of Indiana, USA, govern these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to section 14, the state courts located in Hamilton County, Indiana, have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute about the site or these terms.
If something goes wrong, please email us first at hello@aerointeractive.com. Most concerns can be settled directly, and we will work with you in good faith for 30 days before either of us goes to court.
16. How will these terms change?
We update these terms as the site grows. The effective date at the top of this page shows when they last changed, and each update applies from that date forward. Disputes that arose before an update are handled under the terms in effect at the time. When a change is significant, we will say so clearly on this page. Using the site after an update means you accept the updated terms.
17. What else should you know?
- These terms and our privacy policy are the full agreement between you and us about using the site. Any signed agreement for paid work stands on its own.
- If any part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.
- If we do not enforce a part of these terms right away, we can still enforce it later.
- You may not transfer your rights under these terms to anyone else. We may transfer ours as part of a reorganization, merger or sale of our business.
- Section headings are here to help you find your way and do not change the meaning of the terms.
18. How can you reach us?
Questions about these terms are welcome. Email us at hello@aerointeractive.com, or write to Aero Interactive, LLC, 880 Monon Grn Blvd Ste 101, Carmel, IN 46032, USA.
